Our Nurse Aide/ Nurse Assistant curriculum is approved by Mississippi Department of Health (facility # 0585). THIS PROGRAM IS A COMBINED COURSE THAT CONSIST OF 76 HOURS OF LECTURE, LAB, AND CLINICAL.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Blue Care Medical Program offers a flexible Nurse Aide program of study and curriculum consisting of 76 hours combined lecture, lab, and clinical.
THIS COURSE IS OFFERED ONLINE WITH A CLASSROOM MODIFIED LAB FOR A LIMITED PERIOD AS A RESPONSE TO COVID -19.
STUDEDNTS WILL COME TO ASSIGNED LAB SESSIONS AT LEAST 1 DAY A WEEK. STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE AT MINIMAL, 24 HOURS OF THEORY ONLINE AND 16 HOURS OF CLINICAL AT OUR CONTRACT FACILITY

Our instructors are highly qualified Associate, BSN, and Masters degree nurses and Allied Health Instructors with several years of experience in acute care and long term care.
OUR PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN PROGRAM IS AN 8 WEEKS PROGRAM. AS PART OF OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19, FOR A LIMITED PERIOD OF TIME, PART OF THE THEORY/LECTURE SESSION OF THIS PROGRAM IS OFFERED ONLINE. ADDITIONALLY, WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED A MODIFIED ON CAMPUS ASSIGNED LAB SESSION ONE DAY A WEEK. MULTIPLE LAB SESSIONS ARE OFFERED FOR MORNING AND EVENING.
FOR THE 2021 SCHOOL YEAR STUDENTS WILL HAVE MORE HANDS ON EXPERIENCE WITH NEW UPDATED EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES. AND LEARN NEW LAB PROCEDURES AS IT RELATES TO CURRENT HEALTHCARE. STUDENTS WILL BE USING A PHYSICAL BOOK FOR THEIR STUDIES WITH THE OPTION TO PURCHASE NHA ONLINE STUDY MODULE. STUDENTS WILL EXPERIENCE INCREASE LAB TIME AND CLINICAL EXPERIENCE.

Phase 2 :Internship/Externship : Internship is both on or off campus.

FOR THE 2021 SCHOOL YEAR, OUR EKG TECHNICIAN PROGRAM HAS BEEN EXTENDED FROM 5 WEEKS TO 6 WEEKS.
Our EKG Technician Program is six (6) weeks. 48 hour comprehensive EKG course. Students meet two days a week, 4 hours each session on Monday and Thursday evening. Students learn the art of Electrocardiography, how to conduct 3,5,6, and 12 lead EKG, Rhythm Interpretation, Stress Testing and Holter Monitoring.

In this day and age of a competitive workforce, it’s important to be highly skilled in fields that require specialization. That's why BCMA has developed an excellent duo program which allows phlebotomy students and students from other programs to add this basic skill set their learning.
Combining the skills of both an EKG specialist and phlebotomist provides valuable data which gives physicians the insight needed for diagnosis and lifesaving treatment.
Many hospitals, doctors’ offices, and healthcare facilities (especially elderly care) are beginning to look for dual trained professionals.
In addition to pursuing or obtaining a phlebotomy certification, students are able to complete the 8 hour EKG course in two days to add to their skill set. Students will sit for national certification as a Phlebotomy Technician with additional training in EKG. Students will receive a certificate of completion in EKG for passing the EKG portion of the course. If student wish to pursue a certification in EKG they maybe eligible through our traditional or accelerated program!!
Additional Cost to add the course to your program of study is $150
FOR THE 2021 SCHOOL YEAR, OUR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN STUDENTS WILL EXPERIENCE AN HANDS ON LAB ON CAMPUS IN OUR SIMULATED PHARMACY DRUG STORE.
Our Pharmacy Technician Program is a six (6) weeks, 65 hour blended course of 41 hours of online study/Theory and 24 hours of assigned classroom time and Lab. Students meet one day a week on Saturday.

Students are required to complete 3 weeks of monitored online study and one week of classroom lab and skills check off (occurs during Immersion Week).
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience for this program are health care professionals with proven experience in the related field of study who desire certification as validation of their expertise. These professionals consist of but not limited to Medical Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, Patient Care Technicians, Phlebotomist, EKG Technicians with phlebotomy experience, and nurses.

National Healthcareer Association (NHA). The NHA is a national professional certification agency for healthcare workers in the United States.
